Alcatel Introduces two LINKZONE Mobile Hotspots at MWC 2018
LINKZONE Hotspot MiFi is another new device Alcatel unveiled alongside 1X, 3, 3X, 3V, 5 and the two tablets at Mobile World Congress 2018 yesterday. The new Alcatel mobile Hotspot devices come in two models which are LINKZONE Hotspot Cat. 12 and Cat. 7.
The LINKZONE Hotspot Cat. 12 is powered by 4,300mAh battery capacity which serves you in two ways – first, it delivers up to 600Mbps download speeds over Wi-Fi ac, second, you can use it as a power bank.
The battery juice in the device is capable of running up to 15 hours of use time and you don’t have to keep turning it off and on, it can last 300 hours in standby mode – with Wi-Fi turned on! This model weighs 150g, though.
The Alcatel LINKZONE Cat. 7, on the other hand, is powered by 2,150mAh battery capacity and is capable of running up to 8 hours of use time and 200h in standby but can’t serve as power bank, unlike the other model.
This lower model has 2-channel carrier aggregation (vs. 3) and so it delivers 300Mbps downlink speeds. Both models do 100Mbps up and can create Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac hotspots on 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
The Alcatel LINKZONE hotspots will be available later this year at a price of €180 for the Cat. 12 model and €100 for the Cat. 7 model.
