Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition announced with OLED and notch display

Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition have been officially unveiled after several weeks of rumors and speculations. The was announced earlier today in China.

Oppo R15 and R15 DME both pack one of the latest trend rocking the Android industry which is top notch. And they both measure the same screen size, 6.28" OLED screens of 1,080 x 2,280 px resolution. They also share the same design - glass back with a polished metal frame.

Both Oppo R15 and R15 dream runs on the latest ColorOS 5.0 based on Android Oreo 8.1.  It has a new "AI" assistant that learns your usage patterns, and fast 0.8s Face Unlock.

Oppo R15 boasts 3,450 mAh battery capacity with VOOC charging support. Under its hood, we have the new Helio P60 chipset with an octa-core CPU (4x [email protected] and 4x [email protected]), Mali-G72 MP3 GPU coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

Camera wise, Oppo R15 features a dual-camera on the back with 16MP + 5MP Sony IMX519 sensor (1/2.6", 1.22um) alongside f/1.7 lens while the front-facing camera is 20MP f/2.0.  R15 will come with support for Bluetooth 4.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi. The phone is still stuck on micro USB, though. The R15 will be available in Hot Red, Snow White, and Star Purple colors.

The Oppo R15 dream mirror edition on its end also packs the same notched OLED screen but instead runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and Adreno 512 GPU paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage, and a slightly smaller 3,400 mAh battery with VOOC charging. The R15 Dream Mirror Edition will be available in Dream Red and Ceramic Black.

Camera wise, Oppo R15 Dream Mirror edition have the same camera setup with the R15 but it's accompanied by a 20MP f/1.7 helper and we can only assume it's the same one from the R11s and OnePlus 5T. All fancy AI automatics and portrait effects are present, but there is also a new 8MP face portrait mode exclusive to the R15 DME.

Oppo R15 and R15 DME will be available in China from 1 April at a cost of 2999 Yuan (about $473.69) and 3299 Yuan (about $512) respectively.
